African Relief and Development (ARD) is seeking an Economic Development Officer to be based in Baidoa, Somalia, to support the design, implementation, and monitoring of community-driven livelihood and economic empowerment initiatives. The role involves coordinating community engagement, facilitating savings groups, promoting local value chains, and delivering training and capacity building for partners and beneficiaries.
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Agriculture or Economics, have 2–3 years of experience in economic recovery, resilience, and development programming, and demonstrate strong skills in community engagement, disaster risk management, and project coordination.
