African Relief and Development (ARD)

 

African Relief and Development (ARD) is a humanitarian and development organization with the overarching mission of making a constructive contribution to the enhancement of living conditions and standards for persons in Somalia who have been negatively affected by natural catastrophes and armed conflict.

 

The purpose of the organization is to collaborate with communities in Somalia to achieve the provision of basic multi-sectoral integrated humanitarian and development support. This assistance is intended to help protect vulnerable people and ensure that their basic needs are met and serve as a model organization whose successes are replicated by other organizations in the region and replicated throughout the horn of Africa.

Our Vision

ARD desires to improve the quality of life of marginalized communities, especially children, women, elderly, and minority ethics in Horn Africa-Somalia by increasing access to basic humanitarian and development services to vulnerable groups and community empowerment focusing on education, safe water, primary health care, food security, and livelihoods and responding quickly to emergent situations.

Our Mission

The organization's mission is to mutually work with Somali communities to provide basic multi-sectoral integrated humanitarian and development support to protect and meet the holistic needs of vulnerable people and to be a model organization whose success is emulated by peers and replicated across the Horn of Africa.
